Canyamel is a small holiday resort located on the east coast of the island.
It is surrounded on both sides by wooded hills ranging from 200 to 300 meters in height.
Running through the heart of Canyamel is the Torrent de Canyamel, dividing the town into the tourist-oriented southern half, featuring hotels, pedestrian zones, and the Torre de Canyamel.

The fine sandy beach of the town, Platja de Canyamel, stretches approximately 300 meters in length and is particularly popular during the summer season.
