Artà is located in the northeast of the island, approximately 60 km away from the island's capital, Palma.
Noteworthy is the cohesive appearance of the town, characterized by its steep narrow streets that begin at the foot of the mountain and are dominated by the unity of the medieval fortress walls of the pilgrimage church Sant Salvador, situated at the summit of the town.
From the terrace, there is a panoramic view of the coast and the hilly landscape, almond orchards, olive groves, as well as the Canyamel Tower and the Gothic fortified parish church below the hill.
