Colònia de Sant Pere was established as a settlement on the eastern side of the Bay of Alcúdia, the largest marine inlet on the northeast coast of Mallorca.
The small harbor of Colònia de Sant Pere is home to several fishing boats but is mostly frequented by yachts. The buildings in the town are one to two stories tall,
