S'Arenal or El Arenal is situated at the southeastern end of the Bay of Palma (Badia de Palma), northeast of Cap Enderrocat, which marks the southeastern boundary of the bay. It is approximately 12 kilometers from the city center of Palma to the northwest, with the international airport, Son Sant Joan, located halfway at around 5.5 kilometers.
